"I take great pride in having helped discover this band after producer James Murphy played me some amazing mixes from their album sessions. Reminding me of latter day Carcass, the track that caught my ear was the explosive 'Ovum'. With Murphy's permission, I sent a link over to Monte Conner at the US Roadrunner office. He shared the same opinion. Very much an old school death metal band with modern elements, 'The Hinderers' rips from beginning to end. A wise signing for Roadrunner and a lot of anticipation is brewing for how the band will evolve."
